SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Essential Job Functions:

Plan, develop, organize and supervise community events and programs Participates in the budget preparation for the Department Develop an annual work plan Update City website and other Public Relations outreach activities Represents the City at community events and in other venues Performs other duties as required Minimum
Qualifications:
Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent Must possess a valid Florida Driver's License (in good standing) Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Excellent customer service skills Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing Proficient in planning and organizing events and activities Ability to work independently and exercise initiative General knowledge of parks and recreation issues, funding sources, and budget development and oversight Ability to organize, manage, and motivate volunteers Proficient in use of computers and basic software Ability to operate mowers, tractors, blowers, weed eaters, etc.
General knowledge of plumbing/electrical, irrigation, and carpentry Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
Works in inclement weather Works in dry, dusty and noisy conditions Works with fumes and gasses Works on uneven surfaces Works in and with moving vehicles Heavy lifting and carrying (over 44 pounds) Use of fingers and both hands Good vision in both eyes and ability to distinguish colors required Good hearing required Straight pulling required Ability to periodically walk, stand, Kneel, bend, and balance required Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$52,000.
