Summary:
As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise within a warehouse or distribution center.
Your primary goal is to ensure the accurate and timely handling of materials while adhering to safety guidelines.

Responsibilities:
Safe Forklift Operation:
Operate forklifts in a safe and responsible manner.
Follow established procedures and safety guidelines to prevent accidents or injuries.
Inspect and maintain the forklift equipment regularly.
Material Handling:
Load, unload, move, stack, and stage products and materials using a forklift.
Move goods to and from storage areas, production lines, and delivery vehicles.
Inventory Control:
Keep accurate records of inventory movements and transactions.
Conduct regular checks to ensure inventory accuracy.
Quality Assurance:
Verify the quantity and quality of materials being transported.
Report any discrepancies or damaged goods immediately.
Communication:
Communicate effectively with warehouse personnel and supervisors.
Provide updates on inventory levels, equipment status, and any issues affecting operations.
Adherence to Policies:
Adhere to company policies and procedures related to safety, security, and warehouse operations.
Follow designated work schedules and break times.
Maintenance:
Perform routine maintenance checks on forklifts and report any malfunctions.
Ensure that forklifts are in good working condition.
Teamwork:
Collaborate with other team members to optimize workflow and achieve daily operational goals.
Assist in other warehouse tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
Forklift Certification:
Possess a valid forklift certification.
Experience:
Previous experience as a forklift operator is preferred.
Physical Fitness:
Ability to lift and move heavy objects, as well as stand or walk for extended periods.
Attention to Detail:
High level of accuracy in handling and counting materials.
Safety Conscious:
Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
Communication Skills:
Effective verbal communication with team members and supervisors.
Flexibility:
Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends if required.
