Key
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain a site-specific Safety Management Plan (SMP) following guidelines from the Group Safety Department.
Conduct monthly audits of the SMP, communicate scores to the Group Safety Department and facility management.
Ensure thorough accident investigations, timely reporting, and develop corrective action plans to prevent future incidents.
Coordinate safety initiatives, including management commitment, employee involvement, recordkeeping, hazard identification, incident investigation, medical management, and education/training programs.
Address and resolve health and environmental issues, ensuring compliance with governmental regulations and company policies.
Compile and analyze data related to occupational and environmental health issues, such as chemical exposure, noise, temperatures, and ergonomics.
Oversee Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) record-keeping and hazardous material communications.
Manage and report on the company's fleet management programs, collaborating with supervisory personnel and the fleet management office.
Facilitate training for workers on health, environmental compliance, and safety issues.
Minimum
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED.
Exposure to a safety culture in a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; strong computer skills.
DOT experience is a plus.
